Meetings are on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 7pmE, unless otherwise specified. Ontonagon CD meetings are public meetings, everyone is welcome.

Through March 30, 2021 Michigan Senate Bill 1108 and 1246 amending the Open Meetings Act allows for remote participation in public meetings for any circumstance. Therefore, due to Covid-19 concerns the Ontonagon Conservation District board is meeting virtually through March 30, 2021.

Members of the public can provide input or ask questions during the general public comment period at the beginning of each meeting.

Accommodations for persons with disabilities may be requested by contacting the Ontonagon Conservation District via email at ontonagon@macd.org at least two weeks prior to the scheduled event. Requests made after that time will be honored if possible.

NOTICE OF ELECTION OF DIRECTOR ONTONAGON CONSERVATION DISTRICT

 To all residents of the Ontonagon Conservation District, notice is hereby given that on the 14th day of November 2020 between the hours of 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm, at the Settler’s Co-Op Inc. on west side of parking lot (14043 US-45, Bruce Crossing, MI 49912), the Ontonagon Conservation District will hold a board of directors election. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, an annual meeting will not be held. On September 30, 2020, being forty-five (45) days prior to the date of the election, absentee ballots are available for voting in the election by  sending an email to Ontonagon@macd.org or by calling 906-250-9055. In person voting can also occur at the prior date and time above. Positions for Election: One (1) year, Two (2) year, and Two (4) year terms. Candidates:  Melissa Hronkin, Anne Kretschmann, Glen Longtin, Ryne Rutherford, and Al Warren. Residents are individuals of legal voting age who can demonstrate residence in the Conservation District (Ontonagon County) via one (1) piece of Identification.
